Jade navigates her way into Remy’s orbit and they begin to work together. Those who know her best warn her that she is getting too obsessed, but Remy and her work intrigue her so immensely that she immediately becomes untethered from her own life. Desperate to prove their concept will work, Jade has her own near-death experience under the guidance of Remy, a moment that inextricably links them together. Jade then enlists her terminally-ill grandmother to participate in the experiment, knowing very well she may never come back. With her grandmother’s sacrifice, Jade and Remy realize that when someone is brought fully to death, they not only can visualize their memories flashing before their eyes, but they can feel them. LIMINAL follows Jade as she is catapulted into a world of enlightenment, fame, and danger, further estranging herself from friends and family and left grappling with questions of her own morality and identity.
